Today, the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Miroslav Lajčák presented a commemorative Golden Plaque to the jubileeing (aged 90) professor Štefan Nosáľ in Bratislava. He has thus expresssed his appreciation of Nosáľ´s lifelong artistic merit and outstanding presentation of the Slovak culture abroad. “We grant the Golden Plaque to those Slovak personages who have significantly contributed to the promotion of Slovakia abroad, and, of course, you are a very deserving recipient“ were the Minister´s words to the artistic leader and choreographer of Lúčnica.

Lajčák further announced that Lúčnica has become a part of the presentation brand Slovakia. “It will help us promote our new Good Idea Slovakia or Slovakia Good Idea brand by showing that Lúčnica and Slovakia is, indeed, a good idea
