Carphatian Mountains

This program is a scenic panorama of cultures, nations and ethnic groups of Carpathian Mountains. It is a broader picture of obvious links with as well as differences from Slovak national art. Shepherd culture that came to Slovakia to the Carpathian Arch from the south, was influenced by the peasant culture of Carpathian graben. The panorama starts in the south in Romania, continues through eastern Romania, Ukraine, northern Slovakia neighboring Poland and Moravia, and ends with Small and White Carpathian Mountains near Bratislava. The whole scenic picture is complimented also by the folklore of Carpathian Germans and Gypsies. The programs culminate with a scenic picture of all the cultures at Christmas.
